Whether an iPhone is "worth it" in India is a question that contains several different questions depending on who is asking.

The processing choices Apple makes are not universally preferred — some users strongly prefer the more saturated look of certain Android cameras — but the reliability of the result is a genuine strength.
The Honest Trade-offs
The price premium in India is real and significant. iPhones are priced substantially higher in India relative to the US market, after accounting for import duties and taxes. At the current entry price of the iPhone 15 in India, you are buying the phone at a significant premium compared to what the same device costs in markets where it is assembled or where import duties are lower.
The best Android alternatives at the same price offer competitive or superior hardware. At ₹70,000 or above, Android flagship phones from Samsung, Google, and other manufacturers offer hardware specifications that are genuinely competitive with iPhone across most measurable dimensions. The software experience and ecosystem are different, but the hardware argument for iPhone at this price point is not as strong as it was in earlier generations.
Not everyone needs all of what they are paying for. Many iPhone users use a tiny fraction of the camera capabilities they are paying for. They do not use ProRAW. They do not shoot video professionally. Their camera needs could be adequately met by a phone at half the price. The question of whether the premium is worth it is partly a question of whether you will actually use what you are paying for.
